Essential Question:  What are isotopes?

Learning Objective:  Isotopes are atoms with different numbers of neutrons.

SWBAT:

  • Describe isotopes
  • Calculate the number of protons, neutrons and electrons among isotopes

  2. What are the differences between them?
  3. What do they all have in common?
  4. How many Nike sneakers models are there?
  5. How are they different? How are they similar?

         Just as with car models and sneakers, in Nature, there are atoms that represent the same element but differ slightly among each each other.
